Hi Everyone,
For today’s blog post, I’m trying something a bit different. The picture I’m commenting on doesn’t appear here.
I posted it on Facebook and Instagram, with the idea that by seeing this post, you have already seen the photo.
Instead, let me explain what brought me to this.
It occurred to me that I could quickly and easily put my most recent works on these two platforms by taking pictures
with my iPhone of the pieces on the retina display of my computer.
Up to now, it has been a complicated process to get a photo from my computer to these platforms.
This allows me to post more often and more easily, or even to post works in progress, if there were a compelling reason to do so.
And it hopefully might get more people looking at my FB or Instagram page and seeing my up to date works.
Anyway, this particular flower, was part os a bouquet I recently received. Placing near a window gave me some lovely backlighting.
And in turn, this gave a soft translucency to the tulip that would have been very difficult to achieve with a strong studio light.
I’m extremely fond of natural light photographs. I think there is an honesty to them that is seductive.
Let me know if you agree. See you Sunday…
