A Coastal Journey

“A COASTAL JOURNEY” is my recently published book. It is a fine art coffee table book of my photography which features images of the sea and coastlands from Cape May and the Wildwoods in southern New Jersey, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

I’d like to tell you about it:

With some quotations scattered throughout to move the book along, “A Coastal Journey” takes the reader not on a geographical journey, but on a journey through time. It begins with images of a primordial landscape filled with ancient textures – a stark and windswept coast untouched by man.

The sun rises…a new dawn. Lush greens appear, the ocean roars. Very gradually man’s influence is borne out. A fence on the dunes, a pier… tire tracks. It culminates in the height of man’s stamp on the coastline – boardwalk scenes.

But the goal of this book is to celebrate the natural beauty of the Coast. And so the vibrant colors of the boardwalk turn to black and white.
One by one, the relics of man are removed. At the end of “A Coastal Journey”, we are back – full circle – to the glory of nature.

My goal for this book was to create a truly Fine Art coffee table book, and through it, tell a story with pictures. Some who own the book have called it inspirational, and even therapeutic.
